Since 1972, we’ve been at the forefront of Scottish trout farming, producing fish that we’re proud of.

Our Family

The Cannon family have farmed trout in freshwater and sea lochs on the Scottish Atlantic Coast since 1972. Stuart Cannon established the farm to specifically grow trout, fuelled by a passion for the fish, a pioneering capability, and a profound love of the West Coast.

The focus of the farm has always been on quality, sustainability and community, and in continuous partnership with academia, research and innovation. Stuart’s efforts were recently recognised with an MBE in the 2024 New Years Honours list for his services to sustainable aquaculture development.

These values are continued through his son Andy and wife Cate, who look to maintain a careful balance of a sustainable business, environmental stewardship and social responsibility, and keep the community that we live and work in thriving for decades to come, whilst producing a fish that we are proud to put our name to. This is not just our workplace, it’s our home.

Please contact us if you have any questions, or if you would like to come and visit our farm. We’d love to hear from you.
