MòR Atlantic Trout
Unparalleled Quality, Exquisite Taste and Sustainably Grown on Scotland’s Atlantic Coast by the Cannon Family since 1972.

Three reasons to choose
MòR Atlantic Trout

Unparalleled Quality

Our MòR Atlantic Trout is exceptional for its size, strength and quality.

These fish are unique to us; the only trout grown in full salt water in the UK. This anadromous (sea-loving) rainbow trout, known as the Steelhead, has a natural inclination to migrate to sea, where it grows more akin in size to salmon, yet with the delicate taste and a leanness for which trout is often preferred.

The strong currents of the Atlantic are an exceptional habitat for producing an athletic, muscular fish that is best in class.

Exquisite Taste

MòR Atlantic Trout has a notably clean taste compared to most river trout thanks to its life at sea. It is firm in texture and has a naturally sweet, buttery and delicate flavour. It absorbs smoke beautifully, without becoming oily.

Our artisan farming techniques and over 50 years of experience is clear in the quality of the product, which is ideal for sushi, curing and smoking.

Sustainably Grown

The Cannon family has grown trout on Scotland’s Atlantic Coast for over 50 years. Our fully integrated breeding programme enables us to naturally select trout that thrive in our local waters, guaranteeing quality and high welfare from egg to plate.

We rear with nature, with award-winning husbandry that supports the lifecycle of our fish and actively seeks to protect and preserve our environment and community for the future.

Made by Sea
They say we all come from the sea, but not all seas are equal. The Atlantic Coast of Scotland has some of the most powerful currents in the world and is recognised for its exceptional wildlife and water quality.
